About Us

Scientia sponsors an annual series of public lectures, curated by faculty and devoted to the exploration of a broad topic from a variety of points of view. Past years' programs are listed in our Archive page. Unless otherwise noted, the lectures take place on specified Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. in McMurtry Auditorium, Duncan Hall (enter the main/foyer entrance and then room 1055, the fourth door right). A reception follows each event.

In addition, in alternating years, Scientia sponsors the De Lange Conference and so-called "small" conference, both of which draw an international roster of speakers and attract interested faculty and students around the world.
